In my Dreams

There was a time some time ago
When every sunrise meant a sunny day, oh a sunny day
But now when the morning light shines in
It only disturbs the dreamland where I lay, oh where I lay
I used to thank the lord when I'd wake
For life and love and the golden sky above me
But now I pray the stars will go on shinin', you see in my dreams you love me

Daybreak is a joyful time
Just listen to the songbird harmonies, oh the harmonies
But I wish the dawn would never come
I wish there was silence in the trees, oh the trees
If only I could stay asleep, at least I could pretend you're thinkin' of me
'Cause nighttime is the one time I am happy, you see in my dreams

Chorus:
We climb and climb and at the top we fly
Let the world go on below us, we are lost in time
And I don't know really what it means
All I know is that you love me, in my dreams

(Solo)

I keep hopin' one day I'll awaken, and somehow she'll be lying by my side
And as I wonder if the dawn is really breakin'
She touches me and suddenly I'm alive

chorus repeats 2x

Oho, in my dreams

Chili Peppers

When I was in Preynob Province, I collect a lot of chili peppers and put in my bag. The pastor who runs this area planted lots of crops, they planted rice, chili peppers, tomatoes and some fruit trees like the favorite of mine durian. Chili peppers has lots of uses in our life, for some people the use it as a diet, spices for food,  and it has also nutritional value.

DJ's Comment

I found cute and correct of DJ’s comment last Sunday when I listen over in FM radio. He comment about the farming online, he said that if all the people playing games online regarding planting of trees there are lot of trees in the country. Really true we have green scenery and no more flashfloods.  Some reasons why trees are valuable and important is that it produce oxygen, clean the soil, control noise pollution, slow storm water runoff, clean the air, it also help us shade and cool, and tress fight soil erosion. Most importantly without trees our mother earth is suffering from global warming and drought.

Durian

I grow up eating and know Durian but I have not seen the durian tree.  When were in Kampot I had a change to hold and smell the durian fruits on its tree.  I felt very proud to myself that time because I see the Durian tree.  Some people don’t like this food because of the odor, but for me I like it and I really really love to eat Durian. Now there are lot of delicacies that flavored by Durian.

Never forget this one of a lifetime.......

Sunrise/Sunset

Have you witness how the sun rise and set? Me? I do witness already. It is really beautiful, nothing can compare how the sun rise and set in a day. It makes me proud to myself because not all people appreciate the nature’s beauty given by GOD.  It makes me feel relaxed also and the emotion is different when I watch this scene. I’m also hoping that I have a companion to experience this beauty of nature, a lover perhaps… hahaha….. (Daydreaming)

Traditional Dress

I will be the model for this dress this time. I wore this dress because I was invited by my officemate to attend her wedding and she said since this is my first time I should wear their traditional dress. She has a lot of traditional dress. They celebrated their marriage for one week, from engagement to getting to know both family sides, anyway this is their tradition especially marriage.  At the wedding day the bride wore an Apsara costume and they have some rituals at morning, the groom will go to the bride’s house and bring something including the guest invited by both sides.  The monk is the mediator and they do some rituals.  I did not witness the whole event but I have some pictures to show off the morning activities at the day of marriage. Then at night time the bride will change clothes 12 times and it’s the same color with the groom its lively to look at and the last they will wear is white color. Then we dance and have some food also so that we will not hungry. Some women in here will not wear their traditional dress because they wear it already in day time celebration so they wear party dress at night time. This is what I learned if they married the Cambodian women.
The groom will pay the parents of the bride and that is the money they will use during the preparation.  The bride and groom will change clothes 12 times at night celebration.
The parents can demand how much they will asked if ever the bride is educated, beautiful and have stable job.
Arrange marriage is part of their culture and divorce is allowed

The bride meet the groom and they will go inside the bride's house for exchanging bows and do some rituals.

Part of their morning rituals.

Khemer New Year

Last 2009 we went to Phom Phen and buy some goods in Russian Market. Market closed this time so we went there early. It’s my first time there and I bought for my family.  We stay there for 3 days and 2 nights. Not so much fun there I just lost my money but am happy because I bought it for my family as a present when I go home. It’s nice and heartwarming if you see people all out smiles for the present you gave them.

Never Know

I see the world’ I’ve had enough
Nothing seems to last
Happiness drifting away so fast
Everyday I just kneel down and pray
Pray for the day
Stay by my side
I’m willing to give up my life
You gave my all my pride
so you don’t have to cry
If you know just give me a sign
Dariling if you love me
can I be your only one
You’re the one who warms me
you’re like the sun
You just bring me so much fun
nothing undone
no matter what you’ve done
Darling don’t you know
I am never gonna run
So why should I pretend I stillhave to run
Other ones won’t know
will never know
I see the world’ I’ve had enough
Nothing seems to last
Ioneliness I never wish to have
Everyday I just kneel down and pray
Pary for a way
Stay by my side
I’m willing to give up my time
you guide me through my life
I’m always by your side
Only you know what’s on my mind

Celebrating Christmas and New Year

Have you tried celebrating Christmas away home? For me I did already for how many years but we do celebrate New Year eve as a family every year.  It is really different if we know that were far from each other where in miles and miles away far.  I always celebrate Christmas without them,  but since you know the distance it feel likes different, am I just being emotional maybe, because  am currently celebrating Christmas and new year  working for 3 years now, unlike in Philippines that we gather as a family during those times. Though my first Christmas and New Year here we celebrate but I still feel different.  Now I don’t want to talk about this kind of celebration because it makes me felt sad even though I used to it now.  The pride of being a truly Filipinos is how much we value Christmas and New Year. These were the time also that we gather and looks like reunion to all of us.

First Night Out....

It’s difficult to go out here especially that were stuck in factory, hehehe. My first going out at night was to buy some personal things, Sihanoukville don’t have supermarket like in my country but they have small stores that open up to 12midnight, like convenience store. Well anyway I find also some personal stuff that I need those times. I thought they don’t have Christmas because they believe in Buddha, but when I was at the store Santa Claus is there standing at the doorstep. I cannot help but take photo together with Santa. :)
Taken from my CP @ orange and sorry don't have flash.

Collecting Stamps

My friend encourage me for collecting stamps, and since it really look very nice and pleasant to the eyes especially it is already in stamp album. I tried to collect some, mint and not mint stamps but up to now I did not sort it out. Hopefully this coming holiday I can sort it out. I like the most the old stamps the stamps that is used already, because for me it has already a value since the one who receive the letter with stamps in it take care and let it exchange rather than a mint stamps that we can buy easily at the post office. Here are some of the photos of my mint stamps that I exchange with the pocket calendar.

First Day of work

It’s past 10:00pm Cambodia time, I arrived in RCI. My boss talked to me a little and introduced me to the finance manager and at the same time HR for ex pat. Tomorrow he will interview us, I never bring any formal or office uniform because my friend said that my work will be always outside office but still inside the factory. So I just find a nice outfit to wear, but when we arrive in the morning the 3 of us will be the in charge for checking stocks and do physical counting in other warehouse. It’s a first day and inventory??? What a though day.

Afternoon Interviewed was finished. I thought that is a Q&A portion because it looks like a panel interview. It turned out that my boss will be the interpreter. The interview is ok and it turned out well. They call it interview with the luggage is on.
